By centering ourselves in a state of thankfulness, we open the door to a multitude of benefits. It cultivates a positive perspective, allowing us to focus on what we have rather than what we lack. Gratitude can improve our mental and emotional well-being, reducing stress and anxiety, while promoting resilience in the face of challenges. It strengthens our connections with others as we express our appreciation, fostering a sense of community and support. Brewing Bliss: A Tea Ritual for Mindful Moments
As you prepare to settle into a moment of mindfulness, warm up a comforting cup of tea and let its soothing steam wrap around you like a gentle hug. With your gratitude journal in hand, let each sip of tea and each written word bring you closer to the peace and joy of the present moment. This is your time to reflect, appreciate, and bask in the warmth of the season's blessings.
CITRUS SPICED TEA
PREP TIME: 5 mins
COOK TIME: 10 mins
SERVINGS: 6 people
INGREDIENTS:
6 cups of water, 1 oranges or tangerine, 1 lemons, 4 slices of ginger, 2 cinnamon sticks, 3 cloves, 1/2 cup of raw honey
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place the water in a pot, and bring the water to a boil. Add sliced oranges or tangerine, sliced lemons, ginger, cinnamon sticks, cloves, into the boiling water for 5 minutes.
Turn off the burner, add the raw honey and stir.
Let the ingredients steep in the pot for 5 minutes.
Then it is ready to serve!
The sweet of the oranges, the tangy of the lemons and the spice of the herbs make this a beautiful blend whether hot or cold, and an enjoyable one for anytime of the day or evening. This festive blend can be a wonderful awakening morning tea by simply adding 2 black tea bags.
